APA referencing
APA is a format of referencing that derives from the American Psychological Association (APA).  It is the referencing style that is most frequently used in Psychology modules.
  • Lecturers in the Psychology Division in the School of Social and Health Sciences have created a helpful  APA Referencing Guide‌.
  • Cardiff University have created a useful online tutorial and some exercises which can help you learn how to reference using APA style and the APA also have their own online tutorial and guides.
  • The 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association is available in the Library at call number 808.066 PUB. There are copies in the Reference collection and in the Lending collection.
  • There are also copies of the Pocket Guide to APA Style, shelved at 808.066 PER.
