Information on finding the resources you need for your research.

Library and IT Drop-ins

Academic Librarians and the Digital Skills Advisor are available to answer any queries you have. Drop-in and see us during term-time at the following times:

  • Tuesdays, 11-12
  • Wednesdays, 12-1
  • Thursdays, 3-4 

Unless otherwise advertised, all drop-ins are in the IT Training Suite on Floor 2 of the Library.

We can help you with: 

  • referencing
  • RefWorks
  • finding literature
  • managing long documents: formatting, page numbers, tables etc
  • managing data in Excel
  • poster presentations using PowerPoint

Library and IT Workshops

We have a range of Library and IT workshops running throughout the year aimed at staff and students. Examples of these include:

  • RefWorks - learn how to manage your references with RefWorks, our reference management software
  • Managing long documents - an introduction on how to set up a template for managing long documents such a dissertation or thesis
  • Referencing  - help and advice on referencing styles, Harvard, APA and OSCOLA
  • Poster presentations - this workshop explores the purpose of posters and looks at different ways of creating them using Powerpoint
